The Bahrain Yacht Club is a family friendly club who share the passion of varied forms of sailing and water sports. Facilities include a club house, restaurant, beach and marina.

BAPCO Club offers a wide range of facilities including a club house, restaurant and swimming pool.

The Country Club offers a great variety of sporting activities, cuisine and special events to suit every age and taste. Activities include tennis, swimming, football, horse riding, netball, snooker, children’s play area and so much more.

An International class resort with a fitness centre, Hammam, beach and water sports centre. Non-members can use their beach and pool facilities for BD6 adults and BD3 kids per day.

The Royal Country Club provides excellent facilities for all the family. Facilities include ladies and gents gymnasiums, a fitness studio, swimming pool, children’s play area and outdoor dining terrace.

SFS Bahrain was established in 2012 after feeling the need to get the parents of special children together and sharing our experiences for moral strengths. There are children with different abilities in the group; Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus, Physical challenges, Hearing impairment, Learning disabilities, Vision loss, Speech disorders etc. We not only provide a platform for the families (Bahrainis and Expats alike) to get connected but also share our hopes, strengths and challenges. We share information on therapies, doctors, rehab centers, schools, shadow teachers & volunteers. The list of these services in Bahrain is circulated to whoever is in search of them. Our monthly activity based fun days are for the families to come and enjoy with their special needs children, their siblings, their friends, other families and volunteers; we consider everyone part of the SFS Family! We try to bring about awareness to general public through educational workshops and events in public places like the parks, malls, play areas, grocery stores, food courts etc. This encourages the society to learn about their unique qualities, to respect them and accept them the way they are. We also try to be the voice of every Special needs family in our group. If issues of concern need to be heard, they would know where to find support and encouragement. As long as there is SFS…..they are not alone! Other programmes of SFS: Buddy Programme: Students from main stream schools are encouraged to make a special needs friend. They are introduced by SFS keeping their interests in mind. This is incorporated with the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme, a community service programme or at a completely personal level. The buddies get together over the weekends for an hour, spending the time helping, reading, sports etc. Helping the less fortunate special children If a child of a member is in need of specialized wheelchairs or other equipment, we raise funds to buy them their required aiding tools. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a special child independent & smiling. W need sponsors for this act of kindness. Vocational training/ Jobs: After the age of 15 years there in not much available for special needs teen and young adults. This situation has led us to finding vocational training programmes for them. We also try and find jobs for these young adults who are above the age of 18 years. We need support from everyone in this major task please!
